GEARING UP
EDGE is one my favorite events because of the high energy, the packed schedule and the immediate involvement with the Fraternity. This year I will be facilitating EDGE, and there are a few things I’m looking forward to.
The new theme of creating a blueprint for college. This is an exciting experience for brothers. It not only gives you a solid foundation and structure to make decisions off of, but it also gives you an opportunity for self-reflection, which is vital for any strong leader.

The interactive sessions and leadership case studies. With current movie video clips and other great, current examples, the interactive sessions are powerful because of the relevancy they have for our generation. We are a visual society, so making it visually interesting and making it something we can relate to makes a much more lasting impact.

The team building events and sound body components. You don't know how much you'll grow until you are immersed in team building activities with your brothers. Things like rope courses, team building games and athletic activities help us challenge each other and learn to rely on each other as brothers.
One of the reasons that I chose to join Sigma Phi Epsilon (SigEp), was because of the commitment and follow through of the Cardinal Principles: Virtue, Diligence and Brotherly Love. The amount of self-reflection and the overall depth at EDGE makes it more than a typical leadership conference; it is a thorough program that helps undergraduates live their values and get themselves ready for a successful four years of college.
